Riaz has over ten years experience working with professionals and business owners, specializing in tax planning. He has extensive experience in the areas of remuneration strategies for private companies, estate and succession planning, and issues facing owner-manager corporations. Riaz is well versed in all domestic tax related matters from payroll and Good and Services Tax to succession planning – whether it may be moving the business to the next generation, an employee buy out or a sale.
He is also very involved in the professional community. Currently, he is a Group Study Leader for the Chartered Professional Accountant of Canada’s In-depth Tax Course; sits on the Canadian Tax Foundation’s Young Practitioners Steering Committee and has lectured on various tax related topics for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta.
Riaz has authored numerous articles on a variety of topics faced by individuals and private companies and can also be seen on occasion interviewed on CBC.
